Parking payroll deductions will resume in July

Parking permit payroll deductions will resume next month, but those who have not returned to the Oakland campus can choose to put their permits on hold without losing their parking spot.

The payroll deductions will reflect the new tiered rates that were announced in March.

  • $106 per month for indoor garages near central campus, such as Posvar Hall and Soldiers and Sailors garage.

  • $98 per month for parking lots, such as the OC Lot.

  • $53 per month for the off-campus lot on Meade Street in North Point Breeze.

If you choose to cancel or suspend your parking permit, complete the Faculty/Staff Permit Payroll Deduction Request Form by July 6 to ensure it gets processed for the upcoming month. Phone and email requests cannot be accepted at this time. When you return to working on campus, you can have your parking reinstated via the Faculty/Staff Permit Payroll Deduction Request.

Daily campus public parking rates also will be reinstated, and can be found on the ParkMobile app and the parking website.

Since March, the Soldiers & Sailors, Posvar and O’Hara garages remained open, along with Pitt’s outside lots. The garages and lots had been free for those workers who had to come to campus, and they’ve also been made available to UPMC essential workers.

On May 29, the University resumed parking regulation enforcement at campus-owned garages, lots and parking meters.
