Photos: Pitt Community Celebrates Provost Beeson With Reception

The ground-floor lobby of Wesley W. Posvar Hall was crowded on April 18 as members of the University community gathered at a reception to celebrate Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor Patricia E. Beeson as she prepares to leave her administrative role and return to Pitt’s economics faculty in fall 2018. Addressing those in attendance, Beeson praised administrators, faculty, staff and students.

“I see the University poised to move on to even greater heights than we’ve been at before, and I think that what undercurrent and what’s carrying us forward in that way is the people in this room: the wonderful faculty, staff and students that I’ve just had such a wonderful time working with,” she said.
