Register now for the MLK Day of Service on Jan. 17

Registration is open now for students, staff and faculty to participate in the 2022 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 17.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which celebrates the birthday of the civil rights leader, is a holiday for the Pitt community. There are currently 22 different projects available looking for volunteers, and more will be added as the date approaches.

The projects include sorting donations for Dress for Success; assembling literacy kits for Jumpstart, painting at the Salvation Army and more. You can pick a specific project or sign up to be placed on any project where there are open spots. Those who select the Open Project option will be informed where they have been assigned by Jan. 14.

Deadline to register is Jan. 12. Information about the projects and how to register are on the PittServes website.

If you have questions, email the Signature Days Of Service Committee at pmadd@pitt.edu.

Also upcoming is the Pitt Be A Good Neighbor Day on Saturday March 26, 2022 when staff, students, and faculty join together in service of our neighbors.
