SCI Film festival creates oral history of pandemic

Students from the School of Computing and Information have produced eight videos that reflect on the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The SCI Film Festival is available online now, ranging from a reflection on the empty streets of Oakland to the trials of being homebound to a pandemic-fueled “Wizard of Oz” short.

The public health crisis is significantly affecting our lives, both personally and professionally and the films share the students’ insights and experiences in a creative way that will help create an oral history of our current time.
