Social Justice and Tech Reading Group looks at ‘Race After Technology’

The Social Justice and Tech Reading Group — co-sponsored by the Sara Fine Institute at the School of Computing and Information and the Research, Ethics and Society Initiative — will read Ruha Benjamin's “Race After Technology” during the spring semester.

All students, staff and faculty are invited to participate in the discussions, which focus on recently published texts that explore technology and implications on health and well-being, data ethics, and designing for social justice.

The reading group will meet three times in the spring semester to discuss sections of “Race After Technology.” These meetings will be virtual and will be facilitated by members of the University community. You do not need to attend all three to participate.

You will receive log-in details for the Zoom calls after registering.
