In Brief: Register for 2018 Weight Race, Wellness Survey Seeks Feedback, Retirement Savings Plan Webinar and Info Sessions, Team Changes Name

Now Open: Register Online for Pitt Weight Race

Online registration for the 2018 Pitt Weight Race is open now through Monday, Feb. 5.

New features have been added to the program:

  • Spouses and domestic partners of Pitt faculty and staff can participate.
  • Weekly challenges are available to give you specific areas to focus on improving.
  • There’s an interactive Weight Race website and a Facebook page for you to join a healthy community.
  • No more on-site weigh-ins; you can enter your weight online each week.

Participate in the Weight Race on your own or as part of a team. The race will begin on Monday, Feb. 5. Find registration details and additional information on the Human Resources website.

 

Survey Seeks Feedback on Wellness at Work

The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is asking the University community to complete a wellness survey to help enhance workplace wellness at Pitt. Survey answers will help OHR to develop wellness activities and initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle and work environment for all.

Complete the survey through Sunday, Feb. 4, for a chance to win a $25 Panera Bread gift card.

 

TIAA Webinar: New 457(b) Plan for Retirement Savings

TIAA’s next webinar, The New 457(b) Plan, will take place Friday, Feb. 9, at noon. The webinar will be led by a TIAA financial consultant and will cover the new 457(b) plan and teach you more about the updates to Pitt’s Retirement Savings Plan.

TIAA financial consultants will be holding group information sessions on the Pittsburgh and regional campuses to provide information about the investment menu and updates to Pitt’s Retirement Savings Plan, as well as answering any other questions you may have.

The Office of Human Resources has recently changed the name of Recruiting and Client Services to Talent Acquisition. The name changes signals OHR’s effort to better define the department, as well as its overall message and work.
