Career clothing drive planned

The Pitt Volunteer Pool is sponsoring a career clothing drive on Nov. 11 to aid efforts of Pennsylvania Women Work, an organization that promotes the economic self-sufficiency of single parents, displaced homemakers and individuals in transition.

The organization is seeking donations of professional clothing for women and men that is appropriate for job interviews and the workplace. Clothing in all sizes is needed. There is a great demand for black pants, khaki pants, white Oxford shirts (short- and long-sleeve), polo shirts and plus-size business casual clothing. In addition to professional clothing, ties and belts as well as accessories, such as jewelry and handbags, are welcome.

Clothing should be cleaned prior to donating. Donations should be brought 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 11 to the William Pitt Union lower lounge. Donations are tax deductible; tax receipts will be available.
