Brain Awareness Week meeting planned
National Brain Awareness Week is being celebrated March 16-22. Pitt is kicking off the week with a town meeting on March 16 in the Frick Fine Arts auditorium, 6:30-9 p.m.
Prominent local researchers will discuss the importance and relevance of clinical and basic neuroscience research being conducted in Pittsburgh. Some of the areas that will be covered include sensory neglect, brain imaging and the long-term effects of psychological trauma. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.
The town meeting is free and open to the public.
