Bowling league seeks members

The Pitt Bowling League is seeking new members for its 2013 season. The league is open to Pitt staff, faculty, graduate students, retirees and UPMC employees. No experience or skill is needed.

League bowling takes place 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays September-April at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association (PAA).

An open house is set for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the PAA lanes. Bowling will begin Sept. 10.

The weekly cost is $10, which covers three games and shoe rental and funds the year-end banquet. Bowlers pay only when they bowl.

League organizer Howard Goodman, a staff member in budget and financial reporting, said the league is a good way to meet people from across the University, adding that friendship and, on occasion, romance, has resulted from participation in the league.

For information, contact Goodman at hgoodman@cfo.pitt.edu or Dan McCue at the PAA, Dan.McCue@paaclub.org, 412/586.2075.
