Construction, utility work will close parts of O’Hara Street

Map of construction area

O’Hara Street is now closed from Bouquet Street to Thackeray Avenue for construction and could remain that way until Dec. 16.

The closure is necessary to complete key work on the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center project. The Public Health building garage will remain accessible as will the sidewalk in front of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.

Additionally, Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority will begin a water line installation project on O’Hara Street starting Dec. 9 that is estimated to last for four to six weeks. This is expected to be completed in phases to keep the road as accessible as possible with PWSA re-opening sections as soon as is practical.

Check the Office of Planning, Design and Construction website for updates as PWSA announces its anticipated schedule. This will include which areas will be closed on which days along with other details that may impact your ability to navigate campus.
