Faculty and staff info sessions planned monthly at Community Engagement Center

Pitt’s Community Engagement Center in Homewood has been holding monthly orientation sessions for faculty and staff interested in getting involved with the center and the community through teaching and research. The next session is Dec. 11.

Lina Dostilio, assistant vice chancellor for Community Engagement, will lead the sessions, which will include meeting the CEC staff, touring the facility, learning about its history, and discussing opportunities to get involved.

Attendance is limited to 30 people per session; register here. The upcoming orientations are:

  • 1-2 p.m. Dec. 11
  • 10-11 a.m. Jan. 24
  • 3-4 p.m. Feb. 7
  • 11 a.m.-noon, March 26
  • 9-10 a.m. April 11

Pitt’s first Community Engagement Center opened Oct. 18 at 622 N. Homewood Ave. Another center is planned in the Hill District.
