Pitt’s Horror Studies Working Group will host its second annual virtual Queer Horror Conference from Feb. 5 to 7.
The them for the event, which sponsored by the Horror Writers Association, is “Unholy Creations,” inspired by Mary Shelley's foundational text, "Frankenstein." Featuring research and creative work by scholars and creatives around the globe, the conference celebrates the horror genre’s diverse content and analysis, focusing on the intersections of horror, gender, sexuality and identity.
The University Library System will host a kickoff event at 6 p.m. Feb. 5, featuring a conversation with Bram Stoker Award-nominated writers Max Gold, Billy Martin and Sara Tantlinger.
On Feb. 6, the University Library System also will present materials from the Horror Studies Collection.
