Nursing’s online master’s program ranked best in country

The School of Nursing’s online master’s program has been ranked No. 1 in the country, along with two other public schools, in a U.S. News & World Report listing released this week.

“Pitt nursing strongly believes in a quality education is important for quality healthcare,” said Jacqueline Dunbar-Jacob, dean of the School of Nursing.

The school also ranks sixth among doctor of nursing practice programs and seventh for it bachelor of science in nursing program.

Pitt shares the first-place ranking with Ohio State and the University of South Carolina.

The online master’s programs offered are in clinical nurse leadership, which was first offered online in 2009, and nursing informatics, which welcomed its first class in 2012.
