As Pitt’s graduating classes continue to grow, so do the venues needed to hold commencement.

Last year, the largest-ever undergraduate commencement ceremony was held at PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh

This year’s University-wide undergraduate spring commencement ceremony will be held at Acrisure Stadium, starting at 3:30 p.m. May 3. The University said the venue change will ensure every eligible graduate can participate and receive an appropriate number of tickets for their family and friends. 

Eligible spring graduates who have applied for graduation through the registrar’s office will receive invitations for the commencement ceremony from the Office of Special Events in the next few weeks, with an April 9 deadline to register for the ceremony.
