Corrections
• In the Best Value Schools category in the U.S. News 2012 rankings, Pitt’s average discount score (the percentage of a school’s total costs for out-of-state students that is covered by need-based aid) was 36 percent. An incorrect number was published in the Sept. 15 issue.
• Gov. Tom Corbett proposed 54 percent cuts to Pitt’s state appropriation earlier this year. The administration was identified incorrectly in the last issue.
• Dane K. Wukich is chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery. His title was ascribed incorrectly to Michael Boninger in the Sept. 15 issue.
