Food pantry donations sought

food_pantryThe University has launched a drive to replenish supplies at the Oakland Food Pantry.

Donations may be made online through Pitt’s Virtual Food Bank at www.pittsburghfoodbank.org/pitt by designating the Oakland Food Pantry.

Also, donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off on campus at 710 Alumni Hall, the William Pitt Student Union lobby, Market Central, The Perch at Sutherland, Cathedral Café, Schenley Café, Einstein’s in Posvar Hall, 350 Victoria Hall, Swanson School of Engineering lobby, Benedum Hall, Craig Hall lobby and Hillman Library lobby.

Items that especially are needed include cereal, peanut butter, rice, pasta, canned soup, canned vegetables, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna and salmon, fruit juice, soap, shampoo, toiletries, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products and pet food.
