Children’s Hospital opens 4th express-care clinic

Children’s Hospital recently opened a fourth Express Care location to offer care after hours and on weekends.

Children’s already operates Express Care centers in Bethel Park, Monroeville and Wexford; the newest location is on the 2nd floor of the hospital’s main campus in Lawrenceville. The new location will be open 5-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. No appointments are necessary and free parking is available.

Treatment is available for: colds and flu; earaches; sore throat; pink eye, rashes and other irritations; sinus infections; bronchitis and asthma; cuts; bumps; lacerations, abrasions and splinters; sprains, and strains. X-ray services also are available on site.

If a child’s injury or illness requires emergency or specialty care, Express Care-Lawrenceville will refer patients to the Emergency Department, or to a Children’s pediatric specialist.

For more information, call 412/692-3100 or visit www.chp.edu/express.
