Public Affairs wins regional CASE awards

caseThe Office of Public Affairs has earned five 2013 Accolades Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II. The awards recognize exceptional service and work in more than 35 categories, including alumni relations, communications, design, news writing and the web.

Winners are honored with gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention designations.

The winning Pitt entries were:

“Thaddeus Mosley: Sculptor” event materials, gold in the visual design in print, specialty items category.

“Never a Spectator: The Political Life of Elsie Hillman,” silver in the government relations programs, projects and special events category.

“The Evolving Image of the African American Male in American Media Summit,” silver in the special events category.

“Still We Rise,” Pitt Magazine, silver in  the best article category.

Pitt Magazine, honorable mention in the staff writing category.

CASE is a professional association serving educational institutions and the staff who work in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas. District II is the largest CASE district with more than 675 institutional members.
