Medicare workshop planned for Oct. 8

Are you caring for an aging parent? Do you think Medicare will be your primary funding source for long-term care?

If so, you might want to attend an Oct. 8 elder care workshop on the myths and realities of Medicare and Medicaid.

Sponsored by Pitt’s Institute on Aging, APPRISE (Pennsylvania’s health insurance assistance program/SHIP) and Life Solutions, the workshop — “No Elder Care? Know Medicare” — will focus on the long-term care continuum. Participants also can get answers to questions from representatives of UnumProvident, Pitt’s optional long-term care insurance provider.

The Oct. 8 workshop will begin at noon in the William Pitt Union Ballroom. For more information, contact David Morris, Life Solutions, 412/647-3296.
