Fall 2025 Safety Symposium set for Sept. 8

The Fall 2025 Safety Symposium — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at the William Pitt Union, Lower Lounge and Lawnsis a collaborative event hosted by the Student Government Board (SGB) and the Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) to educate students, staff and faculty about safety resources and healthy habits at Pitt. 

Student organizations, University departments, and local Pittsburgh groups will provide self-defense tips, public transportation guidelines, healthy nutritional habits, and environmental practices. You can even practice extinguishing a real fire at the EH&S fire safety demonstrations and earn a free t-shirt. 

The Pitt Vaccination and Health Connection HUB @ University Pharmacy will be offering flu and COVID-19 vaccines/boosters for Pitt students and employees. 

In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be moved to the William Pitt Union Ballroom. No registration is required, and free pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided for all attendees.
