The JCC Maccabi Campus Games, the world’s largest in-person Jewish youth sporting event, will take over Pitt and Oakland from Aug. 3 to 8, with athletes living, eating and competing on campus in an Olympic-style atmosphere.

Sports include soccer, basketball, tennis, table tennis, track, baseball and more

The events will have some impact on getting around Oakland that week. While O’Hara Street will be open all week, University Place will close periodically.

Those with monthly parking passes will not see any change, but there will be a slight reduction in daily spaces available, according to the Office of Planning, Design & Construction. These spaces have been removed from the parking app for the impacted dates and are not available for reservations. The OC lot will have a $10 flat rate for the week

Access to a few buildings which are being utilized by the games will be restricted to approved personnel only. For security reasons, specific details are not available.
