Registration open for Assessment and Teaching Conference on Jan. 24

The 2020 Assessment and Teaching Conference on Jan. 24 will bring together faculty and staff from across the University to discuss the relationship between assessment, student learning and teaching.

Keynote speaker David Laude — a member of the faculty in the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin since 1987 — will discuss “The Student-Centered Classroom.”

Breakout sessions include:

  • “To Prove or Improve: How to Foster Growth Mindset, Build Trusts, and Help Students Thrive”

  • “Developing Tools & Processes to Support & Assess Teaching: Goals, Challenges, Lessons Learned”

  • “Creativity in the Classroom”

  • “Inclusivity in Large Classrooms”

  • “Assessing and Improving Mentoring”

  • “Equity in Assessment”

Lunch will be provided. The conference runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Registration is required and can be accessed here.
