The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Environmental Health and Safety will host a series of free training sessions to teach participants the potentially lifesaving skill of how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

The 45-minute sessions, led in partnership with ZOLL Medical, will take place Nov. 11 in the Emergency Operations Center on the fourth floor of the Public Safety Building, 3412 Forbes Ave.

Six sessions are available at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and 1, 2 and 3 p.m., with space limited to 25 participants per session. Interested participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure a spot.
