Eating vegan can sometimes be a challenge, particularly when you’re eating away from home.
The Pitt Veg Collective, organized by Pitt Dining by Sodexo, has created a vegan master list to spotlight vegan options at all the dining facilities on campus. While the list is geared toward students, it also highlights vegan options in facilities open to faculty and staff, such as the Cathedral Café and Schenley Café and the Pete Food Court.
The Veg Collective holds monthly meetings for students to discuss plant-based foods with Pitt Dining chefs, cooks and managers. Through these discussions, the Veg Collective is working to make campus dining more sustainable and create a food culture shift on campus.
