Presentations sought for Community Engaged scholarship Forum

The 2022 Community Engaged Scholarship Forum — planned for March 1 — is looking for participants.

The forum, now in its fourth year, celebrates and reflects on collective approaches to community-engaged scholarship and practices that advance mutually beneficial, community-identified priorities. 

There are many ways to share your work at the forum.

  • A seven-minute lightning session

  • An oral presentation

  • A workshop or panel

  • A poster presentation 

Your presentation concept can be submitted here and is due by Dec. 22.

Nominations also are being sought for three awards that will be given out at the forum.  

The Partnerships of Distinction Award  recognizes outstanding partnerships that are exemplars of community engagement. Up to three awardees may be chosen annually. Each award consists of a $2,000 operating grant to support partnership activities.

The Tracy Soska and Dr. John Wilds Outreach and Engagement Leadership Award honors a faculty member or staff engagement professional who serves the University of Pittsburgh through their outstanding dedication to University-community connections. 

The CESF Collaboration Champion Award recognizes a member of the University of Pittsburgh community or a community partner who has made significant contributions to the University of Pittsburgh’s culture of collaboration, further sustaining and supporting the institution’s commitment to strengthening communities through teamed work.
