Dietrich’s Dean Leibovich to hold Zoom office hours monthly

Adam Leibovich, who took over as dean of the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences and College of General Studies in July, is asking faculty, staff and students in the schools to share their ideas and concerns with him.

Starting in September, Leibovich will hold monthly office hours via Zoom open to any faculty, staff or students in the schools. Log in information will be provided in advance. All attendees must use their Pitt e-mail to participate, but no prior scheduling is required.

Leibovich will also be going on a listening tour starting in September. He’s going out to the units with his associate deans and the executive directors for administration and financial/physical resources to hear from departmental leadership about their challenges, goals, resource needs and priorities. Each unit is being provided some discussion points in advance that will guide the conversations.

The new dean has been at Pitt since 2003 as a faculty member in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and department chair since 2015. He became associate dean for research and faculty development in 2017.
