Open forums planned on search for SVC for Health Sciences

The search committee for the next senior vice chancellor for Health Sciences and dean of the Pitt School of Medicine will hold a series of open forums starting June 4, so members of the University community can share input about this role.

All members of the Pitt community are invited to participate. The open forums will be at:

  • 4 p.m. June 4, Graduate School of Public Health Auditorium (G23). Link to livestream

  • 11 a.m. June 12, Scaife Hall, Lecture Room 6. Link to livestream

  • 8 a.m. June 21, Scaife Hall, Lecture Room 6. Link to livestream

The Pitt community is also invited to share feedback through this survey and to review the search website for additional details and updates.

Provost Ann Cudd is heading up the search committee, with Steve Shapiro, chief medical and scientific officer at UPMC, as vice chair.

Dr. Arthur Levine, who has held both jobs for the past 20 years, announced in January that he will step down when his replacement is found.
