The first few Plan for Pitt 2025 engagement sessions didn’t draw a crowd, but Melissa Schild said there are plenty more opportunities to get involved.
Participants were asked to say what each of Pitt’s six key goals meant to them, what outcomes we should expect in five years and what actions the University can take to meet those outcomes.
In contrast to the first Plan for Pitt, which was more broad in focus and runs through this year, this one is looking for more specific actions to move toward the ultimate goals. The six goals are:
- Advance educational excellence
- Engage in research of impact
- Strengthen communities
- Promote diversity and inclusion
- Embrace the world
- Build foundational strength
Schild said so far staff members have been most responsive in signing up for the engagement sessions. In addition, nearly 300 people have filled out the survey on the Plan for Pitt 2025 website.
