Nominations due Oct. 13 for chancellor and provost awards

Nominations are now open for the annual Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching, Research, and Public Service Awards and the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring

Chancellor’s awards

The closing date for letters of nomination for all three awards is Oct. 13.  

Nominations for the  Distinguished Teaching Award should be sent electronically to Juan Manfredi, associate vice provost for undergraduate studies, at manfredi@pitt.edu and copied to Meghan Culpepper at msc80@pitt.edu.  Download the teaching award guidelines.

Nominations for the Distinguished Research Award should be completed using the online form found on the InfoReady Site (under the Chancellor’s Distinguished Awards-Research link). Email Mandy Singh at dms281@pitt.edu or Shari Manges at sdm43@pitt.edu with any questions. Download the research awards guidelines.

Nominations for the Distinguished Public Service Award should be completed using the online form found on the InfoReady Site (under the Chancellor’s Distinguished Awards-Public Service link). Email Lucy Russell at lrussell@pitt.edu with any questions. Download the public service awards guidelines.

Provost’s award

This academic year, the Office of the Provost will confer its 19th annual Provost’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring, given to up to four graduate faculty members for excellence in mentoring of research doctoral students. Deadline for nominations is Oct. 13
